We want to extend enormous congratulations to PAL Aerospace who took home the Innovation Leader Award.  PAL was recognized for the development of its innovative Force Multiplier (FMX) aircraft – an On-Demand Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Special Mission Platform, which will accelerate growth and new global opportunities. PAL engineered and integrated the various on-board systems through significant research and development, with the FMX platform positioned for innovation and advanced product development.

Also, huge congratulations to DEW Engineering and Development who took home the Business Development Distinction award. DEW is the largest manufacturer of ceramic composite armour for vehicles in North America. Having broadened their focus on land equipment into the aviation sector, the company achieved AS9100C certification and won its first aviation component contract in 2017.

The ACADA Annual Dinner is attended by most DEFSEC Atlantic conference attendees and attracts industry influencers, equipment manufacturers, business, military and government partners and domestic and international exhibitors.

The evening is designed to celebrate Atlantic Canadian Small to Medium enterprise (SMEs) for their success and excellence in the aerospace, defence and security industries in three distinct categories.

Last week was an incredibly productive week in Halifax NS for the annual DEFSEC Atlantic conference, with a great awards evening and award to top it off.
