Kognitiv Spark and Tech Impact Partner for NB Adoption of Mixed Reality Remote Support
Kognitiv Spark has partnered with the Tech Impact Digital Boost program to assist New Brunswick-based companies in the adoption of its AR platform for industrial remote worker support.
The Fredericton-based tech firm focused on the secure and reliable applications of AR for remote support, has been accepted into the Digital Boost program as a service provider.
Tech Impact’s Digital Boost program is designed to give NB businesses a “Digital Boost” in order to become more productive and resilient through the adoption of new technologies provided by New Brunswick IT firms.
The program covers 75 percent of the cost of approved technology projects, up to a project maximum of $50,000. Through this program, NB businesses can adopt Kognitiv Spark’s RemoteSpark system. Built for the Microsoft HoloLens, RemoteSpark digitally connects remote workers to subject matter experts.
This system effectively reduces equipment downtime and expert travel expenses while facilitating knowledge transfer.
“(Digital Boost) will allow companies that have experienced transitional issues as they re-orient to deal with the challenges imposed by COVID-19, with not only the technology but the expert advice of trusted digital partners,” said Kognitiv Spark Co-Founder and COO Duncan McSporran.
“Within 45 minutes of setting up RemoteSpark, users can provide meaningful assistance to their teams. This ease of adoption has been demonstrated time and again to significantly improve the operational tempo of companies through focused and direct on-site remote worker support. In a period of time where there is such significant reliance on global customers to be supported irrespective of their location, the ability to rapidly deploy RemoteSpark through the Digital Boost program will be a significant differentiator in the future success of New Brunswick companies.”
Digital Boost is funded by the Government of New Brunswick and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
