While we didn’t attend Microsoft Inspire (Microsoft’s conference for its partner community) this year, there were still some big developments that caught the attention of all of us here at Kognitiv Spark.

On Monday,  Microsoft announced a new partner assistance and training program called the Mixed Reality Partner Program. Formerly known as the HoloLens Agency Readiness Partner Program, the revamped version is now open to systems integrator (Si’s) as well as digital agencies.

The previous program, launched at Build 2016, was more focused on creative agencies, with the new emphasis being put on SI’s who have experience with Microsoft systems and creative product+software developers that can take Mixed Reality to a whole new level for customers.

Partners who are accepted to the program will get a chance to participate in joint business planning, sales and marketing assistance, as well as technical assistance from Microsoft engineers in development of their pilot and proof of concept applications. They would also get a short write up and logo featured on the HoloLens website and the Microsoft Partner Centre. There’s lots of benefits, but too many to list on here – check out developer.microsoft.com if you’d like more info.

Needless to say, Kognitiv Spark was quick to put in an application to the program. Now, fingers crossed all goes well and we’ll see the Microsoft Mixed Reality readiness team in Redmond or London sometime soon!
