RemoteSpark Focuses on End-User Needs
RemoteSpark, Kognitiv Spark’s flagship mixed reality solution for remote work, is pleased to announce its latest release which includes exciting new features, various updates, and bug fixes.
These new features are designed with two things in mind:
To help expert users more easily communicate complex tasks to remote workers wherever in the world they are.
To provide remote technicians the confidence and immediate access to the knowledge they need to complete any job correctly, the first time.
Based on valued customer feedback and our constant mission to deliver innovative, worker-centric solutions, here are some of the new features included in this update:
Screen-Sharing
The screen-sharing feature allows experts to communicate complex data to field workers through RemoteSpark by sharing one of their desktop screens into the augmented reality environment. Experts select and project one of their desktop screens to a remote technician. That screen then appears in a spatially-aware & adjustable window. If you can put it on a screen, you can now share it with your remote workers.
JPG/JPEG Sharing
In addition to photo-capture in RemoteSpark video calls, experts can now drag and drop or upload JPG/JPEG photos to the RemoteSpark session for the end-user using the HoloLens to view in augmented reality. Share key visual information on the fly to complete tasks quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

AI Object Recognition
Through the Admin tool, RemoteSpark can be trained to recognize a piece of physical equipment and tie relevant task-supporting assets (documents & holograms) to it. While using RemoteSpark, a worker in the field can look at the system, say “RemoteSpark, what is this?” and the pre-designated assets will populate inside the worker’s real-world environment.

Web Client
The RemoteSpark Web Client offers expert users the ability to support remote workers via a web browser. Experts can now provide critical task guidance anywhere in the world on laptop, tablet, or smartphone. This feature is currently in preview and is available on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. This feature is currently in preview.
Instant Assist
Instant Assist allows RemoteSpark end-users to email experts a request for immediate support. Experts will be able to launch a web browser version of RemoteSpark directly from the email request to provide critical support to the worker when they need it most, with or without a RemoteSpark account. This feature is currently in preview.
