Kognitiv Spark’s Co-Founder & CTO Ryan Groom was among the speakers at the 2017 TedX event in Moncton this past Saturday at the Capitol Theatre.
This year’s event focused on the theme Thoughtful Truths. Ryan was able to share his vision for the potential of Augmented and Mixed Reality being the most natural way to interact with digital content.
Ryan’s honest and humourous talk reflected on the rapid development of technology since the 1980s when he first was introduced to a Timex Sinclair; and how HoloLens made him feel as excited as about technology as that first introduction to the Sinclair and coding.
“Being a computer geek for a long, long time I’ve experienced many technologies. But putting this (HoloLens) on my head and seeing holograms, I got that same feeling that I had as a kid again. Because now we’re interfacing with the digital content, just the way you naturally do,” Groom said during his talk.
